Housed in the Champollion family estate, the Musée Champollion presents the life and work of Jean-François, the famous decipherer of hieroglyphics, and his elder brother Jacques-Joseph, also a renowned intellectual. Inside the house, the reconstructed rooms, personal objects and working notes plunge you into the intellectual effervescence of the early 19th century. From Isère to the banks of the Nile, witness the rediscovery of Egypt and the birth of Egyptology. You can also enjoy the garden and park, restored in the spirit of the 19th century.

Opening hours
From 01/04 to 31/10 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 10 am and 12.30 pm and between 1.30 pm and 6 pm. Weekends between 10 am and 6 pm.
Closed exceptionally on May 1st.
From 01/11 to 31/03 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends between 10 am and 12.30 pm and between 1.30 pm and 5 pm.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st and December 25th.
