The resort of Chamrousse lies at the tip of the Belledonne massif, just 30 kilometres from Grenoble.
It is spread over three levels: Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin, Chamrousse 1700 - Bachat Bouloud and Chamrousse 1750 - Roche Béranger, linked by slopes and forest paths, with the Croix de Chamrousse at an altitude of 2,250 metres as its highest point.
