Guided tour - Tairraz, four generations of photographic guides

From 10 Nov 2023 to 1 Sep 2024

Free

The Tairraz photographers occupy a major place in the history of mountain photography. From the beginnings of photography in the 1850s to the dawn of the 21st century, there were four of them:
Joseph, Georges I, Georges II and Pierre passed on their passion for the mountains and photography from father to son, fascinated by the magic of Mont Blanc and its photogenic valley. They all share the "Tairraz eye", the absolute eye that embodies and magnifies the mountain, all with the humility and sensitivity of those who seek beauty, harmony, emotion and dreams in the high peaks. It's a unique body of photographic work that, over and above the territory itself, has shaped the way we look at the high mountains.
