Visit of the Museum de la Grande Chartreuse
Since 1957, the Grande Chartreuse museum's mission has been to speak to the life of the Carthusian monks. Because they withdrew to the end of the valley to find the solitude and silence necessary for their contemplation, they cannot open their monastery to the public. Therefore, this is the purpose of the museum, organized in the former house of the brothers, a small authentic monastery until the 17th century.

From 04/04 to 14/06/2026 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, bank holidays and weekends between 2 pm and 6 pm. Closed on Thursday.
From 15/06 to 15/09/2026 from Monday to Saturday between 10 am and 12.30 pm and between 2 pm and 6.30 pm. On Sunday between 2 pm and 6.30 pm.
From 16/09 to 11/11/2026 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and weekends between 2 pm and 6 pm. Closed on Thursday.
