The Grenoble Museum, in partnership with the Hélène & Édouard Leclerc Fund for Culture, is presenting a major exhibition dedicated to comic books. GRAPHIC EPICS Comic books, comics, manga brings together more than 400 major works by 200 European, American, and Japanese artists from the collection of Michel-Édouard Leclerc, supplemented by private loans and loans from the Cité Internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image (CIBDI). This panorama spans a century of creation, revealing the freedom and diversity of this art form. It is a journey through the history of comics, from the early 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century. A journey combining children's and adult literature, Western and Japanese, free without being libertarian, reflecting the subjective view of a collector, witness, and unconditional supporter of comics for over forty years.
