Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the flat of Dr Gagnon, Stendhal's grandfather, a true family home where the heart and mind of the future writer were awakened. A space dedicated to the childhood of one of the greatest French writers of the 19th century, bringing together his main works.

You don't need a G-PASS to visit the Musée Stendhal, which is free to all (except for temporary exhibitions)

Horaires d'ouverture
  • Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 2pm to 6pm.
  • 1st Sunday of each month from 2pm to 6pm. 
  • Closed on Easter weekends and public holidays.

Musée Stendhal

Inaugurated in 2012, the Musée Stendhal is a network of exhibits in the Gagnon flat, the flat where Stendhal was born, a historical itinerary in Grenoble's old town centre and the Stendhal collections in the Study and Heritage Library.
